The Apostle Islands sit just off shore from the Bayfield Peninsula on Lake Superior. Erosion of the sandstone has carved out sea caves which can be visited by boat during the summer, and on skies during colder winters. The caves are one of the wonders of the region and give new meaning to “Heaven on Earth”.
