How do I register?  I would like to post a comment.
We would welcome your comments, but posting is limited to guests.  If you would like to become a registered guest, complete the form on the bottom of the page.  It is that easy.  Once your request is approved, you will be able to comment.  When you write, be sure to tell us how you would like your name to appear.  You will need to use your actual name, not a fictitious name.

Why do some pages allow comments and other pages do not?
The reason has to do with graphic layout.  For articles, you need to be on the actual page of the article, not on the table of contents or listing.  For News, of course, there is no posting feature.  However, if you speak Spanish, the Forum allows comments on a number of different subjects.

How do I register for the Forum?
It’s very easy: open the Forum page and follow the instructions on how to register.   The background code for the Forum is different from the rest of the site.  However, if you are familiar with the format, you should be able to navigate your way quite easily.  If you are unfamiliar with the format, there is no need to worry.  It is as easy as learning how to open a door.  Click on a few topics, and you should be well on your way in learning how to use a forum.

Can I print articles and distribute copies?
We hope you do just that.  In fact, some of the articles are written to be used in a Bible class.  That is why many articles have questions at the bottom of the posting.  Just ask us first.  That is all we ask.

Where do you find the photos for the mastheads?
Most of the photos are from a private collection belonging to Dr. James Sanders.  Otherwise, we try to credit in the caption the source of the illustration or painting.

Why are some of the articles secular and others, religious?
We do not live in a monastery and hopefully, our articles reflect a world in which you and I live.  El Conquistador is a site sponsored by two men who have a wide variety of interest.   Sometimes that interest is biblical and sometimes not, but always there is the sense of an abiding God who oversees all we do. Ecclesiastes specifically tells us to live the life God has granted us, and that is what we try to do.

Can anyone write for El Conquistador?
El Conquistador is a private site, not a public newspaper.  Almost all of the articles are written by Roberto or myself.  We do not accept unsolicited articles, largely because neither of us have the time to edit other material.

Why can I not access Roberto’s Report?
The report is a private letter written by Roberto to churches who support him as a minister.  Many times those very letters are posted on a bulletin board at a church, but the letters represent a private conversation between Roberto and a small group of people.

Why is El Conquistador not a paid site?
You might say the reason is that Roberto and I both know what the articles are worth.  Honestly, though, we just want to share some thoughts with others.  That’s pretty much the gist of it, I suppose. There might be times when someone would like to donate to help with the site, but we do not solicit donations.  Write us, if you have any questions.

Do you always respond to a comment from a guest?
Sometimes we do and sometimes we do not.  A posting may have a comment from a guest, and we may even disagree with the perspective.  Yet, we may decide not to offer a rebuttal.  Silence may mean consent in court, but El Conquistador is not a court.  We invite people to comment, but that does not mean we always print every comment, or respond to everything that  has been said.  At times, we may need to edit a comment because of its length.  Other than that, our policy reflects an open door.  Be brief with what you say.

Can a guest respond to another guest?
Certainly, but a sense of decorum needs to be followed.  Just treat the other person as you would like to be treated.  If a debate seems prudent and of interest, a discussion could be set up in the Forum with guidelines as to protocol and length.  We do not envision that happening, but if such should happen, the Forum would be the appropriate venue.  El Conquistador cannot promote a contentious spirit.  We are warned about what we say as well as our choice of words:

If any man teach otherwise—
he is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself (1 Timothy 6:3-5).

¿Cómo me registro yo?  Me gustaría anunciar un comentario.

¿Por qué permiten algunas páginas que los comentarios y otras páginas no hacen?
La razón tiene que ver con esquema gráfico.  Para los artículos, usted necesita estar en la página real del artículo, no en la mesa de volúmenes o listando.  Para las Noticias, no hay ningún rasgo anunciando por supuesto.  Sin embargo, si usted habla español, el Foro permite comentarios en varios asuntos diferentes.

¿Cómo me registro para el Foro?
Es muy fácil: abra la página del Foro y siga las instrucciones adelante cómo registrarse.   El código del fondo para el Foro es diferente del resto del sitio.  Sin embargo, si Usted está familiarizado con el formato, usted debe poder navegar su manera bastante fácilmente.  Si usted es poco familiar con el formato, hay ninguna necesidad de preocuparse.  Es tan fácil como aprendiendo a abrir una puerta.  Pulse el botón en unos temas, y usted debe estar de camino bien aprendiendo a usar un foro.

¿Puedo imprimir yo los artículos y puedo distribuir copias?
Nosotros esperamos que usted haga simplemente eso.  De hecho, algunos de los artículos se escriben para ser usados en una clase de la Biblia.  Eso es por qué muchos artículos tienen preguntas al fondo del escrito.  Simplemente pregúntenos primero.  Eso es todo lo que nosotros pedimos.

Nosotros no vivimos en un monasterio y esperanzadamente, nuestros artículos reflejan un mundo en el que usted y yo vivimos.  El Conquistador es un sitio patrocinado por dos hombres que tienen una variedad amplia de interés.   A veces ese interés es bíblico y a veces no, pero hay siempre el sentido de un Dios permanente que vigila todo lo que nosotros hacemos. Eclesiastés nos dice específicamente que vivamos la vida que Dios nos ha concedido, y eso es lo que nosotros intentamos hacer.

¿Puede escribir cualquiera para El Conquistador?
El Conquistador es un sitio privado, no un periódico público.  Casi todos los artículos son escritos por Roberto o yo mismo.  Nosotros no aceptamos artículos no solicitados, mayormente  porque ninguno de nosotros tiene el tiempo para revisar otro material.

¿Por qué no puedo acceder al Reporte de Roberto?
El informe es una carta privada escrita por Roberto a iglesias que lo apoyan como un ministro.  Muchas veces esas mismas cartas se anuncian en un tablón de anuncios en una iglesia, pero las cartas representan una conversación privada entre Roberto y un grupo pequeño de las personas.

¿Por qué es El Conquistador un sitio no pagado?
Usted podría decir que la razón es que Roberto y yo los dos sabemos lo que los artículos merecen la pena.  Honestamente, aunque, nosotros apenas queremos compartir algunos pensamientos con otros.  Eso es bastante mucho la esencia de él, yo supongo. Podría haber tiempos cuando a alguien le gustaría donar para ayudar con el sitio, pero nosotros no solicitamos donaciones.  Escríbanos, si usted tiene cualquier pregunta.

¿Responde Usted siempre a un comentario de un invitado?
A veces nosotros hacemos y a veces nosotros no hacemos.  Un mensaje puede tener un comentario de un invitado, y nosotros incluso podemos discrepar con la perspectiva.  Todavía, nosotros podemos decidir no ofrecer una refutación.  El silencio puede significar consentimiento en corte, pero El Conquistador  no es una corte.  Nosotros invitamos a las personas a comentar, pero eso no significa que nosotros siempre imprimimos cada comentario, o respondemos a todo lo que se ha dicho.  En momentos, nosotros podemos necesitar revisar un comentario debido a su longitud.  Otra cosa  que, nuestra política refleja una puerta abierta.  Sea breve con lo que usted dice.

¿Puede responder un invitado a otro invitado?
Ciertamente, pero un sentido de necesidad de decoro debe ser seguido.  Simplemente trate a la otra persona como le gustaría ser tratado.  Si un debate parece prudente y de interés, una discusión podría prepararse en el Foro con pautas acerca del protocolo y longitud.  Nosotros no prevemos ese acontecimiento, pero si cosas así deben pasar, el Foro sería el sitio de una acción apropiada.  El Conquistador no puede promover un espíritu contencioso.  Nosotros  advertimos sobre lo que nosotros decimos así como nuestra opción de palabras:
